Senaud is a village and a commune déléguée in the French commune of Val d'Épy with 54 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Jura department in the Franche-Comté region .

The municipality of Senaud was incorporated into Val d'Épy on January 1, 2016. It belonged to the arrondissement of Lons-le-Saunier and the canton of Saint-Amour .

geography

Senaud is located in the Revermont countryside , around 35 kilometers southwest of Lons-le-Saunier , 25 kilometers northeast of Bourg-en-Bresse and borders the neighboring Ain department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region . Neighboring communities of Senaud were Nantey in the north and east, Val-d'Épy in the south-east, Coligny in the south-west and Saint-Jean-d'Étreux in the west.

Transport links

The area is completely remote from national traffic routes. Only the D184 departmental road opens up the area.
