Shartshang Rinpoche
Shartshang Rinpoche ( Tib. Shar tshang rin po che ) is a lineage holder of the Gelug -tradition of Tibetan Buddhism from the monastery Rongwo in the large village Rongwo in circles Tongren of the Autonomous District Huangnan Tibetan in the northwestern Chinese province of Qinghai . From the time of the Ming Dynasty to the present day there were a total of eight representatives, it is the most important incarnation series in the area of Tongren and Zêkog in the area of Qinghai.
The first representative of this series, i.e. H. the 1st Shartshang Rinpoche, was Shartshang Kelden Gyatsho ( shar tshang Skal ldan rgya mtsho ; 1607–1677).
