Reviews
The film-dienst wrote that the film was an "over-the-top comedy with a few pretty ideas, most of which were stuck in the gossip". It is "varied by the 'modern' idea that the 'spirit from the oil lamp' is a quirky Englishman who was Arab before times" and was "transplanted to London " because of blasphemy .
