Siegfried Sellitsch
Siegfried Sellitsch (born September 2, 1940 in Graz ) is a former Austrian manager who was on the board of directors, supervisory boards and administrative boards of numerous Austrian companies, particularly in the banking and insurance industries.
Career
After primary school in Fürstenfeld, attendance at the Bundesrealgymnasium in Graz; Matura there in 1958. Afterwards study of economics (business administration) at the University for World Trade ; Graduated in 1962 as a business graduate. Doctoral studies in law at the University of Vienna ( doctorate to Dr. iuris, 1975).
Professional positions
From 1966 he worked for Wiener Städtische Wechselseiten Versicherungsanstalt , from 1973 as general secretary and from 1979 as a member of the board (1989–2005 as chairman of the board ). He was also a board member of AngloDanubianLloyd Versicherung AG from 1972 to 1977 and chairman of the board of Wiener Städtische Allgemeine Versicherung AG from 1994 to 2001.
In addition, he was active as supervisory board or supervisory board chairman in numerous companies , including Bank Austria , bene , Siemens Austria , Grundig , Strabag , Wüstenrot Bausparkasse , Unilever Austria , VA Technologie , Böhler-Uddeholm , BAWAG and others.
More functions
He was also Chairman of the Association of Austrian Insurance , Deputy Chairman of the Austrian Road Safety Board , Chairman of the Trustees of the Museum of the City of Vienna , member of the Actuarial Association of Austria , General Council of the OeNB , University Council of the University of Vienna (2008-2013 as Chairman), Chairman of Samaritan Association Vienna.
He also held or held positions in the Ludwig Boltzmann Society , the Club of Rome Austrian Chapter, the Austrian Society for Insurance Expertise, Board of Trustees for Adolf Schärf Student Homes, Society of Friends of Fine Arts, Vienna Symphony Orchestra , member of the Board of Trustees in the Jubilee Fund of the City of Vienna for the business university.

Siegfried Sellitsch has received several awards, including:

- Induction into the Insurance Hall of Fame of the iis International Insurance Society in Chicago
- Gold Medal of Honor of the State of Salzburg (2000)
- Grand Decoration of Honor in Gold for Services to the Republic of Austria (2000)
- Great Gold Medal of the State of Styria (1990)
- Gold Medal of Honor of the Province of Upper Austria (2000)
- Honorary Citizen of the Karl-Franzens-University Graz (1985)
