Siegfried von Kortzfleisch

Siegfried von Kortzfleisch (born July 5, 1929 in Dresden , † July 27, 2014 in Lübeck ) was a German Protestant theologian and journalist .

Life

Siegfried von Kortzfleisch , son of General of the Infantry Joachim von Kortzfleisch , who fell in 1945 , grew up in East Prussia and Berlin . After graduating from high school in Goslar in 1947 , he studied theology at the Universities of Mainz , Basel and Göttingen . From 1955 to 1961 he was director of studies at the Evangelical Academy in Bad Boll . In 1959 he was at the University of Göttingen with the work "preaching and public opinion '- church A contribution to the foundation of public relations" Dr. theol. PhD. From 1961 to 1969 he was deputy head of the Evangelical Central Office for Weltanschauung questions . From 1970 to 1981 he was editor-in-chief of the Lutheran monthly magazine in Hanover . From 1982 to 1986 he was deputy editor-in-chief of the Deutsche Allgemeine Sonntagsblatt .

Von Kortzfleisch has made numerous publications on Judeo-Christian dialogue and Christian journalism. With Karl Heinrich Rengstorf he edited the two-volume handbook Church and Synagogue , to which u. a. Bernhard Blumenkranz , Willehad Paul Eckert (1926–2005), Bernhard Kötting , Rudolf Lill and Wilhelm Maurer collaborated.

He was temporarily married to the pastor Ina, geb. Brinkmann, and lived in Lübeck since 2008.
