Silke Boenigk

Silke Boenigk (* 1967 in Recklinghausen ) is a German business economist and professor for business administration, in particular management of public, private and nonprofit organizations at the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences in the Faculty of Social Economics at the University of Hamburg .

Life

Silke Boenigk, b. Michalski, studied business administration at the Westphalian Wilhelms University of Münster . In 1997 she obtained a degree in business administration (Dipl.-Kfm.).

In 2002 Boenigk did his doctorate with Manfred Bruhn at the University of Basel in Switzerland . The topic of her dissertation was customer churn and customer recovery processes. A theoretical and empirical study using the example of banks .

From 2002 to 2006 Boenigk was the Institute of Management and Regional Economics of the University of Lucerne active in Switzerland. From April 2006 to September 2008 she worked as a senior assistant at the University of Friborg in Switzerland and with Bernd Helmig at the University of Mannheim . In the summer of 2007, Boenigk was a Research Fellow at the Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis in the United States of America (USA).

In February 2009 she completed her habilitation at the University of Friborg in Switzerland and was granted the license to teach business administration.

Since October 2008, Silke Boenigk has held the professorship for business administration, in particular the management of public, private and nonprofit organizations at the University of Hamburg .

From 2010 to 2012, Silke Boenigk acted as chairwoman of the Scientific Commission for Public Business Administration of the VHB . Furthermore, she was a member of the Presidium of the Hamburg Donation Parliament until 2018 .

Research priorities

Her research focuses and interests are directed towards leadership issues at the interface between the state , the market and nonprofit organizations. As part of this, Silke Boenigk researches the specifics of corporate management in donation-collecting organizations, associations , associations , foundations and cooperatives .

Industry- related topics in health , culture , foundation and university management are superficial.

In 2010 she concluded a research cooperation on the subject of blood donation with the DRK East and North. This cooperation focused on the main research areas of blood donor satisfaction, blood donor acquisition, blood donor loyalty and blood donor recovery.
