Silvan Hefti (born October 25, 1997 ) is a Swiss football player who is under contract with the Bernese Young Boys .

Career

Silvan Hefti started playing football at FC Goldach. In 2009, at the age of twelve, he moved to the U13 team of FC St. Gallen (“FCSG”) and subsequently went through all training levels. On September 11, 2015, the FCSG announced that Silvan Hefti had signed a professional contract for two years with an option for two more years. He made his debut in the first team shortly afterwards in the away game against FC Basel under interim coach Daniel Tarone . In the following years he became a regular player and was named team captain. After FC St. Gallen took second place in the 2019/20 season, they asked for a transfer approval, which was also granted. In the 2020/21 season , he joined last year's champions BSC Young Boys .

Awards

According to statistics from Transfermarkt.de, Hefti was the most valuable U18 right-back in the world in 2016. Hefti was named Player of the Year 2016 on Football Night in Eastern Switzerland.
