Ulisses Alexandre Garcia Lopes (born January 11, 1996 in Almada , Portugal ) is a Swiss football player who has been under contract with BSC Young Boys since the 2018/19 season . The left full-back also has Portuguese citizenship.
Career
Garcia was born in Portugal to Cape Verdean parents and grew up in Geneva . In 2011 he moved to the youth team of the Grasshopper Club Zurich and made his professional debut in the Super League against FC Sion on May 18, 2014 . The game ended in a 3-1 win for the Grasshoppers, where he completed the full playing time.
For the 2015/16 season Garcia moved to the German Bundesliga club Werder Bremen . He signed a three-year contract.
On January 5, 2018, the club awarded it to the second division club 1. FC Nürnberg . With 1. FC Nürnberg he was runner-up in the 2. Bundesliga in 2018 and was promoted to the Bundesliga .
For the 2018/19 season Garcia moved to BSC Young Boys in the Super League , where he signed a four-year contract.
