Frederik Hillesborg Sørensen (born April 14, 1992 in Copenhagen ) is a Danish football player . The defender is on loan from 1. FC Köln to BSC Young Boys and is a Danish national player .

Career

societies

Sørensen began his career in 2001 at KFUM Roskilde , then played for one season for Himmelev-Veddelev BK and then for FC Roskilde . In 2007 he moved to the youth department of Lyngby BK . On August 27, 2010, he moved to the Italian record champions Juventus Turin , for whom he initially played in the youth team. Due to numerous injury-related failures in the professional team, he made his Serie A debut in the same year . While still on loan from Juventus, he signed a four-year contract there on May 10, 2011. In the winter break of 2011/12 he was transferred to the league rivals FC Bologna . After his relegation in the summer of 2014, he was signed by Juventus Turin and shortly afterwards loaned to Hellas Verona for a year .

For the 2015/16 season , Sørensen moved to the German Bundesliga club 1. FC Köln . He signed a contract valid until June 30, 2019, the term of which was extended in January 2017 to the end of June 30, 2021. He made his debut for 1. FC Köln on August 16, 2015 (1st matchday) in a 3-1 win in the away game against VfB Stuttgart . He scored his first competitive goal for Cologne on August 12, 2017 in a 5-0 win against the Leher gymnastics club in the first main round of the DFB-Pokal competition. He scored his first Bundesliga goal on August 25, 2017 (2nd matchday) in a 3-1 defeat in the home game against Hamburger SV with the goal to make it 2-1 in added time. In the second division season 2018/19 , the defender won the second division championship with the Effzeh after relegation in the preseason.

In August 2019, the Dane switched to the Swiss Super League on loan to reigning champions BSC Young Boys .

National team

From 2008 Sørensen went through the youth national teams of the age groups U17 and U20 of the DBU . From 2011 to 2015 he played for the U21 national team and was eliminated with her in the 2015 tournament for the European Championship in the semifinals against the eventual title holder Sweden .

On May 23, 2017 Sørensen was with his nomination for the friendly in Brøndby against the national team of Germany and the World Cup qualifier in Astana against the national team of Kazakhstan for the first time in the senior team invited.
