Cédric Zesiger (born June 24, 1998 in Merlach FR ) is a Swiss football player . He is under contract with BSC Young Boys and is a young Swiss national player.
Career
society
Cédric Zesiger grew up in Treiten in the Bernese Seeland and began playing football in 2006 at FC Müntschemier before the 2009 Romandie in the football school of FC Xamax in 2007 moved. This was called Neuchâtel Xamax FC two years later , before the club was renamed Neuchâtel Xamax 1912 FC after bankruptcy and later in Neuchâtel Xamax FCS . After a year in the canton of Bern with FC Biel-Bienne , Zesiger returned to Neuchâtel and played for the first time in professional football on July 19, 2015 at the age of 17 in a 1: 2 on the first day of the second-rate Challenge League against FC Schaffhausen . He played regularly in the 2015/16 season and made 26 appearances.
After that, after six games for Xamax, Cédric Zesiger moved to Grasshoppers Zurich at the end of August 2016 and made his Super League debut on September 25, 2016 in a 2-1 home win over FC Vaduz . In his first season in the top Swiss division, he was not often used, but he completed all seven appearances over the full season. One season later, Zesiger made 18 appearances in the Super League, where he scored his first goal in a 4-0 win in the city derby against FC Zurich . In his third and final season in Zurich, too, he frequently commuted between his regular seat and substitute bench and played a total of 21 games (one goal). In the summer of 2019, Cédric Zesiger moved to the BSC Young Boys and received a contract there until 2023.

Cédric Zesiger played one game for the Swiss U18 team , three games for the Swiss U19s and six appearances for the Swiss U20 team . On October 10, 2017, Zesiger played his first game for the Swiss U21 national team in a 2-0 victory in the European Championship qualifier against Liechtenstein in Vaduz .
