Career
Beginnings at home
Sierro comes from the youth division of FC Sion and started in the 2013/14 season for the club's U-21 team in the Promotion League . Towards the end of the 2014/15 season he made his debut with a short stint against FC St. Gallen in the professional team in the top Swiss league and was promoted to the professional squad during the 2015 season break. In the 2015/16 season, Sierro made four appearances for the Swiss U-20 national team , including a 1-1 draw against Germany in the Möslestadion , the home of the Freiburg reserve and youth teams. From the beginning of 2016, Sierro made his way into the professional team of FC Sion and made a total of 33 first division appearances in the midfield center in the following twelve months.
Change to SC Freiburg
At the end of January 2017, Sierro moved to the German Bundesliga club SC Freiburg . Sierro came to Freiburg with Achilles tendon problems and only started team training in March. As a result, he played a few games for the Freiburg reserve team in the Oberliga Baden-Württemberg and was only part of the professional team's squad on matchday 30 against Bayer 04 Leverkusen for the rest of the season , but was not used.
Return to Switzerland
After he made four appearances in the following Bundesliga season, he was loaned back to Switzerland to FC St. Gallen for the 2018/19 season, where he - as in Sion - played under coach Peter Zeidler . In 35 league appearances, he scored 11 goals.
For the 2019/20 season , Sierro did not return to Freiburg, but switched to the BSC Young Boys within the Super League . He received a contract with the reigning master craftsman that ran until June 30, 2023.
