Silvia Weiss (* in Wiesbaden ) is a German opera and concert singer ( soprano ).

Life

Silvia Weiss was born in Wiesbaden, where her musical talent was already noticed while she was still at school. Very soon she sang in the children's and youth choir of the Hessian State Theater in Wiesbaden , where she had her first appearances and in Kurhaus concerts. After graduating from high school, she began studying singing at the Berlin University of the Arts with Donald Grobe . There she was also in Aribert Reimann's lieder class , which gave her a decisive influence on contemporary music. Yet his student days, she debuted at the Berlin Chamber Opera as Elisabeth room in Hans Werner Henze's Elegy for Young Lovers and baroque operas by Reinhard Keizer and Francesco Cavalli , sang once in a production at the theater on Hallesches Ufer Sophie Scholl in Udo Zimmermann's White Rose and was Finalist and scholarship holder of the VDMK national singing competition.
