Simon Nut

Simon Nüssel (born January 20, 1924 in Rimlas ; † November 17, 2015 ) was a German politician ( CSU and Bavarian Party ) and from 1987 to 1990 Bavarian State Minister for Food, Agriculture and Forests .

Life

After participating in World War II , Nüssel took over a farm in 1947. His son is Manfred Nüssel .

Simon Nüssel last lived near Bad Berneck in the Bayreuth district . He died on November 17, 2015 at the age of 91.

Public offices

  • 1954–1958 for the Bavarian Party and 1959–1994 for the CSU, Simon Nüssel was a member of the Bavarian state parliament and from 1966 to 1970 its second vice-president.
  • 1957–1964 regional chairman of the Bavarian young farmers' union.
  • In 1970 he was appointed State Secretary in the Bavarian State Ministry for Food, Agriculture and Forests and from this position on September 30, 1987 - after the death of Minister Hans Eisenmann - he was appointed Bavarian State Minister for Food, Agriculture and Forests.

Others

Nüssel initiated the Simon Nüssel Foundation named after him at the University of Bayreuth for the promotion of agriculture and nutrition.

From 1968, Simon Nüssel was the pilot of the Bavarian Air Rescue Squadron at the Bayreuth location ; from 1979 to 1996 he was its vice-president.
