Sittendorf is a district of the country town of Kelbra (Kyffhäuser) in the district of Mansfeld-Südharz in Saxony-Anhalt .

Sittendorf is northeast of the Kyffhäuser Mountains and east of the municipality of Kelbra in the Golden Aue east of Berga (Kyffhäuser) and the Kelbra dam in the valley of the Helmeniederung northwest of the village of Tilleda . The district of the village lies on a fertile floodplain. In the immediate vicinity, the Halle - Nordhausen railway line , federal highway 85 and federal highway 38 run along the lowlands.
history
The village was first mentioned in a document in the period 1059-1072. The place came in 1290 as an imperial fiefdom to the Counts of Rothenburg.
From 1915 there was a stop for the Kyffhäuser Kleinbahn in the agricultural town . The traffic was stopped on June 5, 1966. 1974 Sittendorf was incorporated into Kelbra.
