history

In 2016, SkyUp Airlines became a registered company in Kiev. On December 14, 2017, Minister of Infrastructure Volodymyr Omelyan announced a new private airline called SkyUp Airlines. In the first year of the company mainly popular summer destinations were offered as charter flights, as well as scheduled flights within Ukraine and to several international destinations . SkyUp Airlines also intends to work closely with Ukraine International Airlines .

SkyUp Airlines gave a plane to the Ukrainian government on February 20, 2020 to fly Ukrainian citizens out of the Covid-19 contaminated area of Wuhan .

Destinations

During the launch, the airline intended to operate charter flights from Kiev-Boryspil and Kiev-Zhuliany, as well as from Kharkiv , Lviv , Odessa and other cities in Ukraine to a total of 16 destinations: Alicante , Antalya , Barcelona , Bodrum , Burgas , Dalaman , Dubai , Hurghada , Larnaka , Palma de Mallorca , Nice , Rimini , Sharm el Sheikh , Tenerife , Tivat , Tel Aviv and Varna . In February 2019, the airline announced that it would move its main base from Zhuliany to Boryspil from the beginning of the summer flight schedule .
