Sofía Reyes (born September 25, 1995 in Monterrey ; actually Úrsula Sofía Reyes Piñeyro ) is a Mexican pop singer. From 2018 she became known with international hits like 1, 2, 3 and RIP

biography

When Sofía Reyes was 6 years old, her grandmother taught her to play the piano. She later took singing lessons and attended an acting and singing school and finally a "rock music school". With her father and friends, she also appeared as a street musician with her own songs when she was a teenager. At the age of 16 she moved to Guadalajara and was a member of a girl group there for two years.

She began to publish her own songs on the Internet and was noticed by the US singer Prince Royce . He signed her to his own label D'Leon Records . For her career she moved to Los Angeles in the States . She released her first single Forever Now in 2013 and a year later she had her first Spanish-language hit Muévelo , in which she was supported by the Puerto Rican Wisin from the successful duo Wisin & Yandel . In the Hot Latin Songs of Billboard in the USA, the song was able to place itself as well as in Spain , where the song stayed in the charts for over half a year in 2015 and was awarded platinum . Together with Prince Royce, another hit followed in 2016 with Solo yo , which reached number 1 in the Latin pop evaluation of the charts. She acted as a singer in How to Love by Cash Cash and had a smaller dance hit.

The debut album Louder! by Sofía Reyes. Although it only placed in the US Latin charts, it still achieved gold status in Latin publications. The following year her most successful song appeared with 1, 2, 3 . Jason Derulo and De La Ghetto supported her and she was particularly successful with it in Spain, where she came in 5th place and reached triple platinum. For the first time, however, it was also in the charts in other European countries such as Switzerland and Austria. In the summer she sang the official anthem of the Mexican national team for the World Cup with Vamos por la estrella . She had another hit beyond Latin pop in 2019 with RIP with Rita Ora and the Brazilian Anitta as support.
