Sonja Hörbing

Sonja Hörbing (born March 7, 1934 in Dresden ; † August 3, 2010 in Wiesbaden ) was a German actress .

Life

Hörbing completed her acting training from 1953 to 1956 at the Leipzig Theater School . She made her debut as a stage actress in Döbeln , then was a permanent member of the ensemble at the Landestheater Magdeburg . As a freelance actress, she had guest engagements in Berlin and Dresden. From 1963 to 1971 she was engaged at the Hans-Otto-Theater in Potsdam . She then performed with the Berliner Ensemble until 1981 . From 1981 Hörbing played in the Federal Republic of Germany , had a guest contract at the Musiktheater im Revier in Gelsenkirchen . From 1985 to 1995 she was engaged at the Wiesbaden State Theater .

Hörbing was also active in film and television . She was involved in various DEFA productions, including the 1975 Thomas Mann film adaptation of Lotte in Weimar . At the DFF she was mostly cast in cheerful entertainment productions but also in sophisticated television films . In 1965 she played in the GDR television musical Fräulein Reisebüro ; In 1979 she shone as Countess d'Autreval in the salon comedy Damenkrieg by Eugène Scribe .

Hörbing was married to the director and theater manager Peter Kupke .
