Sonya Walger
Sonya Walger (born June 6, 1974 in London ) is a British actress who gained fame primarily through appearances in television series .
life and career
Sony Walger studied English literature at Christ Church College, Oxford .
Walger starred in one episode of Inspector Barnaby in 1998 and later in two episodes of the crime series The Vice . She made her feature film debut in the Bible epic Noah's Ark - The Greatest Adventure of Mankind at the side of Jon Voight . She gained greater fame in the US for her portrayal of Sally Harper in the US adaptation of the British sitcom Coupling - Who with whom? which first went on air in 2003. The sitcom, however, could not hold up and was canceled after not even a full season aired. After that she was seen as Nicole Noone in The Quest - Hunt for the Spear of Fate
Finally, Walger was able to gain international fame through her guest appearances in the series Lost . Here she played the role of Penelope Widmore and was first seen here in 2006 and made regular guest appearances until 2010. During this time, she made recurring appearances on the series Sleeper Cell and CSI: NY .
Walger also played on Broadway in 2007 . That same year, she was featured on the controversial HBO series Tell Me You Love Me . Contrary to some rumors, however, series creator Cynthia Mort let it be known that none of the actors in the series actually slept together and that the controversial scenes are simulated. The theme here was a scene in which Walger stimulates her series partner Adam Scott with his hand and makes him ejaculate .
In 2008, Walger had five guest appearances on Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles before she got a lead role on FlashForward in 2009 , but the series was canceled after a season. Another short-lived lead role had Walger in the comedy - crime series Common Law as Dr. Emma Ryan .
Walger has been married to screenwriter and producer Davey Holmes since July 2009 and lives with him in Los Angeles .
