career path
Weissenberg graduated from high school in 2017, traveled to Australia from October 2017 to January 2018 and began studying psychology in October 2019 .
Athletic career
At first, Weißenberg was successful with the relay of their club, SC Neubrandenburg . In 2012 she became German U18 champion with the 4 x 100 meter relay . A year later, the season was the only one with 46.86 s under 47 seconds, almost unchanged in the lead. In the final, Weißenberg and her teammates only came in 6th place, but at the end of the year they topped the U18's best of the year with 46.86 seconds.
In 2014 Weißenberg reached the 4th place in the pentathlon of the U18 with 3850 points at the German indoor all- around championships .
In 2015 she won bronze in the high jump at the German U20 Championships and came in 6th place over 100 meters .
In 2016 Weißenberg was U20 vice world champion in the long jump and a few days later German U20 vice champion over 100 meters and long jump.
In 2017 she came 8th in the long jump at the German indoor championships for active athletes, graduated from high school and took 5th place in the long jump at the German U23 championships . She then went on a month-long trip to Australia.
In 2018, after her break in training, Weißenberg ran a trend-setting 600 meters together with her training colleague. She was so inspired by the time she had run that she found her way back to the all-around event, since the 800-meter run was one of her weaker disciplines, alongside the shot put and javelin throw . Weißenberg competed in the national jersey for the first time at the Thorpe Cup and promptly took first place with a personal best of 6165 points. Before that she had become German U23 champion in the long jump and had achieved 4th place over 100 m hurdles . At the German Championships she had reached 7th place in the long jump.
In 2019 Weißenberg in Austria increased her personal best to 6293 points at the all-around meeting in Götzis , where she reached 8th place. In the long jump she became German U23 champion and in mid-July U23 vice European champion in heptathlon. At the beginning of September Weißenberg had to break off the season due to a stubborn inflammation of the heel and could not take part in the World Championships in Doha , to which the German Athletics Association (DLV) wanted to take her with them despite the 6300 point norm.
Weißenberg is in the perspective of the German Athletics Association (DLV).
Club affiliations
