Harris Johns, Berlin (Soundtracks to Downfall 2) |
Soundtracks to the fall is a German punk - compilation series . The first two releases are among the most important German punk releases of the 1980s.
Soundtracks for Downfall 1
Soundtracks zum Untergang was released in 1980 as the first release by the Berlin label Aggressive Rockproduktionen . With Slime , Hass and ZK some of the most famous German punk bands of the time were included. The record was confiscated in the winter of 1981/1982 because of “denigrating the state and its symbols”. A censored version came out a little later. The objectionable text passages of the songs Polizei SA-SS and Helden were faded over with horn tones and made unrecognizable.

The follow-up soundtracks to Untergang 2 appeared in 1982. This compilation also contained contributions by German punk bands that were influential at the time, including a. Neurotic Arseholes , Normahl and Böhse Onkelz . When the publication appeared, the Böhse Onkelz were not yet confronted with the accusation that they were neo-Nazi .
