The Tensions Festival is a festival for chamber music that takes place annually for one week in the Art Nouveau hydropower plant Heimbach .

Foundation and management

The Chamber Music Festival in 1998 from which Düren coming pianist Lars Vogt founded and has since been run by this. The festival is sponsored by the Kunstförderverein Kreis Düren e. V.

Festival participants

Lars Vogt invites established international classical music artists as well as young musicians. The regular cast of the festival includes the siblings Christian and Tanja Tetzlaff , Sharon Kam , Antje Weithaas , Elisabeth Kufferath and Gustav Rivinius . Frequent guests are u. a. Isabelle Faust , Florian Donderer , Alban Gerhardt , Tatjana Masurenko , Marie Luise Neunecker , Danae Dörken , Kiveli Dörken . Other important guests were Daniel Harding , Daniel Hope , Heinrich Schiff and Jean-Guihen Queyras .

Media partner

The Germany radio records the concerts since the beginning of the festival, and then sends it over the course of the year. Recordings of the festival appeared on EMI until 2010 and then on CAvi .
