from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Stéphanie Crayencour (* 2. December 1983 as Stéphanie Carole Micky Rittweger de Moor in Uccle , Brussels-Capital Region ) is a Belgian actress and pop - and chanson singer .

Life

Stéphanie Crayencour is the daughter of the married couple Claire Cleenewerck de Crayencour (* 1956) and Patrick Rittweger de Moor (* 1954). She is also a great niece of the writer Marguerite Yourcenar .

She made her theatrical debut in 1995 in the play Les Quatre Filles by Doctor March based on the novel Little Women by Louisa May Alcott . After that she was only seen occasionally in small theaters. Two years after her parents divorced, she moved to Paris in 2003 . There she attended a music school, where she received lessons on piano and guitar as well as singing and music theory . To finance her further education, she worked as a model .

When auditioning in the context of a film casting for the last project of the 87-year-old film director Éric Rohmer , the film Les amours d'Astrée et de Céladon , she met his expectations in 2007, as the head and pale skin color were particularly appealing. In order to finally get the lead role of the shepherdess Astrée, she changed her name at Rohmer's request; He didn't like Rittweger de Moor. She decided on the stage name Crayencour , the maiden name of her mother, which she used from then on as an actress. Rohmer's film was released on September 5, 2007 in French cinemas and was competing for the Golden Lion at the 64th Venice International Film Festival . For her role as Marie van Verten in Denis Thybaud's film Les Mythos , Stéphanie Crayencour was nominated for the Magritte Film Prize for Best Young Actress in 2012 . She received a nomination for Magritte as best supporting actress in 2020 for her role as Lulu in Nicole Palo's film Emma Peeters .

As a good singer, Crayencour tried in May 2011 with the pop and chanson album La Garçonnière . Saule, Mélanie Pain and Sacha Toorop can also be heard on their album. It stayed in the Walloon music charts Ultratop 200 Albums for 16 weeks and rose to number 34 on July 30, 2011, in the album charts of only Belgian artists up to the top 5.
