history
Location of Stützkow in Brandenburg
|
It was first in 1354 in a deed of assignment Ludwig the Roman of Brandenburg (1330-1365) to the Duke Barnim III. mentioned by Stettin as a Wendish fishing village. At that time it did not belong to the Principality of Brandenburg . The following noble families are named as owners of Stützkow over time: von Suringk, von Buch , von Aschersleben, von Risselmann, Count Reinhard Finck von Finckenstein . The last owner was Mrs. von Langenn-Steinkeller (1926 to 1945).
In 1527, Stützkow had ten hooves ; In 1598 there lived 20 kossatians , 16 of which belonged to the von Aschersleben family and four to those of Buch. Since the end of the 17th century the village belonged to the estate in Crussow . In the Thirty Years' War Stützkow suffered greatly. From then 21 fishermen only four stayed in the village.
Almost 200 years later - in 1805 - there were only 13 fishermen again, five kätner and five residents . For that, Stützkow now had a mug . In 1861 the population was 240 again. Little changed into that into the 20th century, but then it fell rapidly: in 1925 there were 296 inhabitants, in 1939 only 191, in 1996 only 46.
During the time of the French occupation before 1813, the fishermen von Stützkow and Lunow , as well as the owner of the neighboring Neu-Galow estate, rescued fleeing Prussian soldiers across the Oder from safe capture on their boats on dark winter nights. For this brave act, the municipalities were awarded the "Golden Civil Honor 1st Class".
In the Second World War , Stützkow suffered badly; Nevertheless, the villagers donated 1,500 marks in 1948 for the repair of the village church.
On June 1, 1973, Stützkow was incorporated into the Schöneberg community . The Lower Oder Valley National Park, founded in 1995, borders directly on the Stützkow district.
