architecture

Exterior construction

The square tower with six floors rises at the west gable . The lower floors are pierced by small rectangular openings. The single-storey structure, which is bevelled at its edges, has arched sound arcades and is covered with an onion dome. The entrance to the church is under the tower.

A two-storey sacristy is built into the northern corner of the choir , from which a covered access leads to a round stair tower, the pulpit staircase .

inner space

The single-nave nave is divided into three axes and, like the slightly retracted, arched choir, is covered with a flat ceiling . The walls are divided into large arched windows. The choir is illuminated through a bass violin window. The corners of the nave are rounded to form semicircular niches in the east. A simple gallery with straight parapets forms the western end .

Grisaille, Coronation of Mary

Piece

The ceiling is decorated with fine stucco decoration. Shellwork cartouches and flower tendrils frame the grisaille . The inscription GLORIAE SALVATORIS DEI ATQVE BEATI AEGIDII LAVDIBVS SACRA (consecrated to the glory of the Savior and to the glory of Blessed Aegidius), which contains a chronogram , is placed in a stucco cartouche above the choir arch . The specially colored letters LILVIDIVIIDIILVDIVC result in the year 1778, the year the church was built.

The grisailles of the throat are dedicated to the resurrection of Christ, the Pentecost scene, the Assumption and the coronation of Mary.
