The Roman Catholic branch chapel St. Bartholomäus in Nettersheim - Buir belongs to the parish Frohngau -Buir in the diocese of Aachen , which has existed since 1804 and which today forms the community of the parishes of St. Hermann-Josef Steinfeld with several other parishes . The chapel is dedicated to the holy apostle Bartholomäus , secondary patrons are Saint Abundius and Saint Irenaeus. It is a protected architectural monument .

A chapel in Buir was mentioned as early as 1536, it was in the cemetery and was demolished in 1867.

The current chapel was built in 1868 and 1869. It was consecrated on August 28, 1870. The church is a neo-Gothic quarry stone building. It has a narrow choir closed on three sides and a nave with three window axes. The Bartholomäuskapelle has 75 seats and 50 standing places.
