description

The hall church was built in 1698/1701 in the walled cemetery after the previous building was demolished and the rubble stones were reused . A corresponding inscription can be found on the sundial on the south side. The choir tower is covered with a dome on which an open lantern sits. The nave has a hipped gable roof . On the south side is the covered staircase to the galleries . The parapet in front of the pedestal has winding stone pillars. The nave has two-story galleries on three sides and is covered with a wooden barrel vault. The pulpit altar has carvings from foliage and ribbon work as well as a figure of the risen Christ , created in 1709/10 by Johann Martin Schwanhold. In 1874 it was rebuilt and partially expanded. The baptismal font was made around 1700. The organ with seven registers , divided into a manual and a pedal , was built in 1967 by Hartmut Schüßler from Greiz. The church was renovated in 1874, 1858–60 and 1989–91 in particular.
