St. Joseph (Henneckenrode)
The Roman Catholic listed church St. Joseph is in Henneckenrode , a district of the municipality Holle in the district of Hildesheim in Lower Saxony . The church belongs to the parish church of St. Hubertus (Wohldenberg) in pen deanery Alfeld-Detfurth of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Hildesheim .

The simple hall church forms part of the building complex of Henneckenrode Castle in the northwest. According to the inscription above the portal made of bossed blocks , it was built in 1597. The neo-Romanesque church tower in the east has biforias as sound arcades . The winged altar comes from Volkersheim , made around 1525/1530. In the shrine there is a portrait of Mary in a rosary , on which the hands and feet of the crucified and two angels are attached. St. George and Pankratius stand to the side , in the wings Katharina and Anna selbdritt , Maria Magdalena and St. Urban . The wall paintings show the remains of a coronation of Mary and George the dragon slayer . The ornate baptismal font , standing on three lion figures, is from the time it was built.
