The Evangelical Lutheran Church of St. Martini is located in Hauptstrasse 75 of Hauteroda , a district of the city and rural community of An der Schmücke in the Kyffhäuserkreis in Thuringia .

St. Martini belongs to the parish regional community Artern-Heldrungen in the parish area Artern-Heldrungen I (Heldrungen) in the parish of Eisleben-Sömmerda of the Evangelical Church in Central Germany .

The simple hall church was built at the beginning of the 18th century as a successor to the first church using late Gothic parts. It has a choir closed on three sides and an annex for the sacristy . In the apex of the choir there is the inscription 1709. Another inscription on the portal in the west gives the year 1763. The church tower on the side to the north on a square floor plan was subsequently given a slated eight-sided floor for the belfry , which has a hood that is from an open one Lantern is crowned. The nave is covered with a hipped roof.

The interior has three-sided, two-story galleries and is covered with a wooden barrel vault. The pulpit altar dates from the time it was built. It has protruding pillars , above which the entablature . A portrait of a pastor is from 1672. The wall painting from 1708 has been restored.

The organ with 17 registers , divided into two manuals and a pedal , was built in 1708 by an unknown organ builder and rebuilt in 1967 by Lothar Heinze .
