description

The small chapel in masonry sandstone was built in 1180 in the style of Romanesque built. The lower masonry of the church and the apse still date from this period . The building history can be traced from the inscriptions carved in stone . In 1696 the hall church covered with a gable roof , which is mentioned in a document as the Vicariate Chapel of St. Nicholas, was rebuilt and supplemented with a slate-covered roof tower with an eight-sided bulbous dome crowned by an open lantern . It houses the bronze bell from 1491. The retracted apse, its subsequently enlarged windows in the east and south-east, which have been preserved, form the end of the nave . There is also a baptismal font from 1597. The old clockwork with a stone weight as a drive was installed in 1722 and is now on display in the nave . The ceiling between the two-story galleries on three sides was spanned with a wooden barrel vault in 1775/76 . In the course of extensive construction work, the upper gallery, the pulpit , the altar and large rectangular windows on the north and south sides were installed in 1859 , and the organ was renewed. The nave was in an earlier period of construction increased . The room served as a warehouse until the 18th century. The apse, which served as a sacristy , was divided from the nave by a pulpit altar after 1859 .
