Stacey Dash (born January 20, 1967 in New York City ) is an American actress .

Life and accomplishments

Dash graduated from Paramus High School in Paramus ( New Jersey ). She made her debut in a small supporting role in the television film Die Panke der Tigin from 1982. From 1988 to 1989 she played the role of Monique in the television series TV 101 . In the thriller Tennessee Nights (1989) she appeared alongside Julian Sands and Ned Beatty .

She played the role of soldier Miranda Myers in Penny Marshall's comedy Mr. Bill (1994) and starring Danny DeVito . In the comedy Clueless - What Else! (1995) she played the role of Dionne , a friend of Cher Horowitz who played Alicia Silverstone . For this role she was nominated for the Young Artist Award in 1996. She played one of the leading roles in the action film Intimate Blue (1995). From 1996 to 1999 she played Dionne Davenport in the film-based television series Clueless - The Chaos Clique .

After the series was canceled, her career flattened out somewhat. She mainly took on supporting roles in television series such as CSI: The perpetrators on the trail and Eve . She also appeared in a Kanye West music video . In 2011 she played the second lead role "Val" (alongside Lisaraye McCoy) in the VH1 sitcom "Single Ladies" for one season. In August 2006, she pulled out for the US edition of Playboy .

After announcing her support for the US Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney via Twitter on October 7, 2012 , she was the target of hostility. In 2016 she was criticized for commenting on the 2016 Academy Awards boycott for lack of black nominations by Spike Lee and Jada Pinkett Smith .

In February 2018, Dash announced that he was running in the 44th Congressional constituency of California for the Republican Party for the United States House of Representatives against incumbent MP Nanette Barragán . In March 2018, she withdrew her application.

She has two birth children and entered into her fourth marriage to lawyer Jeffrey Marty in April 2018.
