Stanisław Dolny is a village with a Schulzenamt of the municipality Kalwaria Zebrzydowska in the powiat Wadowicki of the Lesser Poland Voivodeship , Poland .

history

The only village Stanisław was founded by Krakow citizens and his first mayor Piotr Jascon in 1329 under German law.

Politically, the village originally belonged to the Duchy of Auschwitz , which existed from 1315 during the period of Polish particularism . Since 1327 consisted suzerainty of the Kingdom of Bohemia .

The next mention of the place appeared only in 1441. It was then divided into two parts: a royal (later Stanisław Górny ) and a private (later Stanisław Dolny ) village. Together with other villages belonging to Barwałd Castle , Stanisław Dolny was separated from the Duchy of Auschwitz and came to Poland.

During the first partition of Poland , Stanisław Dolny came to the new Kingdom of Galicia and Lodomeria of the Habsburg Empire in 1772 (from 1804).

In 1918, after the end of the First World War and the collapse of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy, Stanisław Dolny returned to Poland. This was only interrupted by the occupation of Poland by the Wehrmacht in World War II . It then belonged to the General Government .

From 1975 to 1998 Stanisław Dolny belonged to the Bielsko-Biała Voivodeship .
