The Gmina Kalwaria Zebrzydowska (formerly Gmina Brody ) is a city and country community in Wadowice County of Malopolska province in Poland . Its seat is the city of the same name with about 4600 inhabitants.
The municipality lies at the foot of the Beskydy Mountains .
history
During the First Partition of Poland , the municipality was part of Austria from 1772 to the end of 1918 .
The municipality has existed since July 1976 and was part of the Bielsko-Biała Voivodeship until 1998 . The Calvary and the Saint Bernard Monastery in the capital were in the 1999 World Heritage of UNESCO added.
