The Gmina Tomice is a rural community in the powiat Wadowicki of the Lesser Poland Voivodeship in Poland . Its seat is the village of the same name with over 2600 inhabitants.

The municipality is located in the Silesian Foothills (Pogórze Śląskie). The waters include the Skawa and some smaller lakes. Neighboring municipalities are Brzeźnica , Spytkowice , Wadowice , Wieprz and Zator .

history

From 1975 to 1998 the municipality belonged to the Bielsko-Biała Voivodeship .

The wooden church in Radocza from 1692 is also on this route, but is not registered as a monument. The modern church in Witanowice has a free-standing bell tower.

The state road DK 28 , which connects Zator to Przemyśl via Nowy Sącz, runs through the municipality and its main town .
