Stare Bystre is a village in the municipality of Czarny Dunajec in the powiat Nowotarski of the Lesser Poland Voivodeship in Poland in the Podhale region . The village is located between the Pogórze Gubałowskie mountain range and the Kotlina Nowotarska valley basin about twenty kilometers northwest of Zakopane and ten kilometers southwest of Nowy Targ . The mountain streams Rogoźnik Wielki and Bystry, popular with anglers, flow through the village . The Pieninen rock belt , which stretches to the east, begins with the limestone cliffs in the village .

Attractions

Stare Bystre was created in 1591. At that time it was part of Rogoźnik . The place name can be translated as Altes Schnelles , which refers to the course of the mountain stream of the same name. There is a modern church of St. Stanislaus of Cracow in the place .
