The Gmina wiejska Starogard Gdański is an independent rural municipality in Poland and is located in the Powiat Starogardzki of the Pomeranian Voivodeship . The municipality has an area of 196.16 km² with 16,614 inhabitants (June 30, 2019). The seat of the municipality and the district is located in the eponymous city of Starogard Gdański ( German : Prussian Stargard ), which does not belong to the rural municipality.
