Stefan Ortolf (born January 12, 1988 in Augsburg ) is a German ice hockey player who played for Deggendorf Fire in the major league in the 2013/14 season .

Career

Stefan Ortolf was brought to ice hockey by his father at the age of three. He spent seven years with the offspring of the Augsburg EV before he joined the Königsbrunn youth team for two years. After returning to Augsburg in 2004, he moved to the Cologne Young Sharks in the German Junior League . He was able to gain experience there at the highest junior level for two years.

Before the 2006/07 season he completed the preparation with the DEL team of his home club, but in the main round he was only on the ice for the Blue Devils Weiden in the major league . For the now following season 2007/08 he signed a contract with the Lausitzer Füchsen in the second highest division. In the 2008/09 season he initially played for the Lausitzer Füchse and its cooperation partner Jonsdorfer Falken , before moving to the EHF Passau Black Hawks . Before the 2009/10 season he signed a contract with Deggendorf Fire . After three years in Deggendorf, Ortolf moved to the Straubing Tigers from the German Ice Hockey League in 2012 . After he had already made preparations with the team of the first division last year and was about to commit, this was announced in July 2012. Since he could not assert himself in the DEL, his expiring contract was not extended. Instead, despite offers from the 2nd division, he moved back to Deggendorf Fire in the Oberliga.
