Stephan Buchheim (born September 7, 1963 in Lemgo ) is a German journalist , moderator and speaker .

Buchheim was born in Lemgo in East Westphalia and grew up with his five siblings on the outskirts of Berlin, in the Kladow district of Spandau . He is married and has two daughters.

At the beginning of the 80s, Buchheim founded with friends, u. a. the later music producer Moses Schneider (Beatsteaks, Tocotronic and others) the pop formation DeSign, who also achieved a respectable success with their single "Nathalie". This was followed by professional vocal training. He had his first professional contact with radio in 1987 as a student assistant at the private radio station Hundert, 6 .

At the private radio station Hundert, 6, Buchheim went through various technical and editorial areas from 1989 onwards, and was employed both as assistant to the editor-in-chief and as an OB truck technician. He also made his first experiences as a moderator with this successful Berlin program in the 1990s. In 1992 he switched to the SFB (later rbb ), where he was one of the defining voices as a reporter and moderator for the newly reformed program “88acht - Das Stadtradio”. In 1997 he had his first assignments as a television speaker, u. a. at the legendary SAT1 show Wheel of Fortune .
