Stephan Wilke (* 1961 in Berlin ) is a German actor and director .

life and work

After graduating from the Canisius College , Wilke studied theology and philosophy at the University of Bonn before taking acting lessons with Erika Dannhoff . His stage work began with a permanent engagement at the Franconian Theater in Maßbach from 1983 to 1987. He then played at the Lore Bronner Stage in Munich , toured as a member of the Berliner Compagnie through several European countries for three years and was a co-founder of several initiatives the international peace movement . In 1990 he played Söller in the accomplices at the Goethe Theater in Frankfurt am Main , and in 1991 he played Edward in an Adolfo Assor production of Pinters A Light Pain at the Garn Theater in Berlin . After that, Wilke was a member of the Berliner Kammerspiele ensemble for nine years . Wilke has also made guest appearances at the Hansa Theater in Berlin, the Theater Down Drunter in Buckow in Märkische Schweiz , at the Robin Hood Festival in Boitzenburger Land and at the renowned Hirsau Monastery Festival . Every year since 2010 he has played the cook in Brigitte Grothum's Jedermann production in the Berlin Cathedral .

His repertoire includes well over a hundred roles of all genres and a wide range: from the gossip reporter Ribheiro in Nelson Rodriques ' The Kiss in the Gutter to the Dutchman Michel in Hauff's The Cold Heart , who is in league with evil, to Wagner and Valentin in Faust , the bizarre Count Orsini-Rosenberg in Shaffers Amadeus and the narrator in the Rocky Horror Show to the insane husband in Courtelines Sie und Er .

In film and television he worked with directors such as Karin Brandauer and Heiner Carow . a. in the RTL series Balko and Hinter Gittern , in the ARD crime series SOKO Wismar and the Sat.1 comedy special mission .

He made his debut as a director at the Festival in Ellwangen with his own dramatization of Schnitzler's Fräulein Else . In recent years he has increasingly worked with young people and has staged several musicals by Gerd-Peter Münden ( Baleam , Daniel in the Lion's Den , David and Jonathan ).
