Stolzhausen is the smallest district of Waldkappel in the Werra-Meißner district in North Hesse .
Stolzhausen is surrounded by forest in northern Hesse, southwest of Waldkappel in the foothills of the Hohe Meißner .
The place was first mentioned in 1585 under the name Stoltzhausen . In 1939 the place had 60 inhabitants. In the course of the regional reform in Hesse , Stolzhausen came to the city of Waldkappel on December 31, 1971. Previously, the place belonged to the district of Melsungen in the Spangenberg district .
