Straßbessenbach is about 10 km from Aschaffenburg , 70 km from Würzburg and 60 km from Frankfurt am Main . The place belongs to the district of Aschaffenburg . State roads 2307 and 2312 (formerly Bundesstrasse 8 ) and Franconian Marienweg run through the village . The topographically highest point of the village marking is on the Dachsbuckel, southeast of the place at 372  m above sea level. NN , the lowest is on the Bessenbach at 167  m above sea level. NN .

history

Straßbessenbach was first mentioned in a document in 1348 as strata. On July 1, 1862, the district office of Aschaffenburg was formed, on whose administrative area Straßbessenbach was located. In 1939, as everywhere in the German Reich, the designation district was introduced. Straßbessenbach was now one of the 33 communities in the old district of Aschaffenburg . On July 1, 1972, this merged with the Alzenau district in Lower Franconia to form the new Aschaffenburg district.
