Tübingen city run

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Tübingen City Run (official name: Tübinger Erbe-Lauf ) is a fun run that has been held every September since 1994 in the old town of Tübingen in Baden-Württemberg . The hilly 7.5 km long circuit (3 laps of 2.5 kilometers each) has developed into an important city event in recent years. Well-known national and international top athletes such as the 1992 Olympic champion Dieter Baumann , who in 2002 finished second with 20:57 minutes, achieved the third-best time to date, are among the participants.

The route of the city run leads through the old town of Tübingen over the market square and then through the park at the plant lake. Since 2012 there has been a new route (the main run has been 10 km since then) and new organizers include students of sports science, Dieter Baumann and event manager Marc Oswald.
