To escape the high-tech prison of the sadistic genius Alex, Julia must try to outsmart the artificial intelligence TAU that her enigmatic kidnapper secretly developed. The German synchronization was based on a dialogue book and the dialogue direction by Sabine Sebastian on behalf of BTI Studios, London. Victoria Frenz lends her voice to Julia in the German version, Manuel Straube speaks to Alex and Udo Schenk the artificial intelligence TAU.
The film was shot in the PFI Studios in Belgrade, Serbia. Larry Smith acted as cameraman .
In June a first English and a first German trailer were published.
Netflix secured the rights in autumn 2017 and added the film to its offer on June 29, 2018.

Bernd Haasis from the Stuttgarter Nachrichten thinks that the force of the content helps overcome weaknesses in the staging of Federico D'Alessandro's horror chamber play. TAU's face is an oscillating echo of the HAL on-board computer in Stanley Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey , probably the most prominent cinema AI , Haasis continues.
