Tak Fujimoto

Takashi "Tak" Fujimoto (born July 12, 1939 in San Diego ) is an American cameraman .

Life

Fujimoto had attended the University of Berkeley and trained at the London Film School . He then worked as a camera assistant for the company of his colleague Haskell Wexler , 'Dove Films', advertising films before joining the cinema in 1973. There he was assigned as a simple cameraman for Terrence Malick's Road Movie Badlands - Shattered Dreams when he had to replace the sick head cameraman Brian Probyn .

In the following years Fujimoto worked with directors such as Jonathan Demme , M. Night Shyamalan , John Hughes and Howard Deutch . He is a member of the American Society of Cinematographers . He was nominated for an ASC Award in 1992 for The Silence of the Lambs . He received a BAFTA Award nomination in 2000 for his work on The Sixth Sense .
