The Jüchsen Viaduct is a 369 m long bridge on the A 71 motorway .

The prestressed concrete girder bridge is located between the Meiningen- Süd and Rentwertshausen junctions behind the southern portal of the Eichelberg tunnel at km 153.5. The structure crosses the Jüchsen valley near Ritschenhausen , the L1131 state road between Ritschenhausen and Jüchsen and two farm roads at a maximum height of 25 m . The bridge was built with two separate superstructures at a cost of around 7 million euros between 2002 and 2004.

The full cross-section of the pillars consists of a rectangle with rounded end faces at heights between 13 m and 23 m. The pier heads widen at the top to accommodate the bearings .

The two adjacent superstructures of the prestressed concrete bridge are continuous girders with a hollow box cross-section and a constant construction height of 3.0 m in the central axis. The span of the 9-span bridge is between 32 m and 45 m. The prestressing consists of a mixed construction with internal and external tendons . The bridge superstructure was constructed using the incremental launching method.
