Tamra Davis
Tamra Davis (born January 22, 1962 in Studio City , California ) is an American film , television and music video director .
Life
Davis was the second of four children. One of her grandfathers was a comedian, one grandmother was an actress. Tamara Davis came into contact with the film business as a child. Together with the Egyptian film producer Ibrahim Moussa , Davis went to Italy for six months to work there. Back in the USA, she worked in an art gallery for a short time. Then she had a job at American Zoetrope , where she met Francis Ford Coppola . He advised her to study, whereupon she began studying at Los Angeles City College .
In 1993 she married Mike D of the Beasty Boys . The couple have two children together.
Career
Tamra Davis initially made a name for herself as a director of music videos, from u. a. Tone Loc, Depeche Mode, NWA and Sonic Youth. In 1992 she made her first film Guncrazy with Drew Barrymore in the lead role. She has also directed series such as My Name Is Earl and Everyone Hates Chris .
Davis currently runs her own cooking show, "Tamra Davis Cooking Show".
