Billy is the 27-year-old son of a hotel tycoon and wastes most of his life partying. When his father Brian announces his retirement, he hands over the reins to his incumbent Vice President Eric Gordon. Billy is disappointed and wants to know why he's not taking over the running of the company. His father tells Billy that he bribed Billy's teacher to get him through school. Billy then bets he'll be smart enough to run the company. If he goes back to school and has mastered the subject matter from first to twelfth grade in just 24 weeks, he will be in charge of the Madison Hotels. In a final duel, Billy and Eric face each other. In an academic decathlon, the leadership of the company is decided. Billy emerges victorious, but hands over management to another of his father's employees because he wants to become a teacher.
