The paddle steamer Telegraph was built in the Buckau shipyard in 1847. The ship was laid with the hull number 25 on the keel .

The time until 1873

After commissioning as a smooth deck steamer in the spring of 1847, the ship drove for the United Hamburg-Magdeburger Dampfschiffahrts-Compagnie . From August 13, 1847, it was chartered for 10 thalers a month by the Royal Privileged Saxon Steamship Company, which in April 1849 was converted into the United Saxon-Bohemian Steamship . The ship was used between April and October on the Dresden - Meißen line. The charter ended in 1851.

In 1873 it was sold to the Magdeburg Lust - Dampfschiffahrts - Gesellschaft .

The time after the sale

Nothing is known about the mission in Magdeburg. In 1881 the chain, Deutsche Elbschiffahrts-Gesellschaft, bought the ship. In 1882 the ship was decommissioned and scrapped.

The steam engine

The steam engine was an oscillating low-pressure two-cylinder twin steam engine with injection condensation and an output of 120 hp.
