action

The film is about Jun Naruse, a chatterbox. One day when she sees her father leaving a love hotel , she tells her mother about it, which leads to their parents' divorce. Her father then blames her for what makes her sad. While she is crying, an egg fairy appears , sealing her voice so that she is no longer able to hurt others with her words.

Years later, Jun goes to high school . Due to the fairy's curse, she is no longer able to speak. Her class teacher Kazuki Jōshima registers her on the charity committee together with Takumi Sakagami, Natsuki Nitō and Daiki Tasaki, three of her classmates. On the way to the committee room, willing to decline membership in the committee, Jun hears Takumi sing and is captivated by his singing. She communicates the story of her past to him with the request to form her words into a song, as she hopes the curse will have no effect when she sings.

Despite her inability to speak, she learns that she is able to sing. The school decides to put on a musical based on its story in the form of a fairy tale . While the students are discussing the musical, Daiki gets into an argument with the rest of the team, which is stopped by Jun, who has a stomach ache because of her attempts to speak. Misinterpreting Takumi's concern for Jun as love, Natsuki explains that she's keeping her fingers crossed for both of them, despite her own feelings for him.

The next day, Daiki apologizes to his classmates. While they spend the next time together to make further preparations for the musical, Jun begins to develop feelings for Takumi while Daiki in turn has feelings for Jun. Daiki asks Takumi about his relationship with Natsuki after hearing that they were a couple in middle school , which Takumi denies, since Natsuki told her classmates they were not in a relationship. The night before the musical, Takumi asks Natsuki about the boy she is dating, whereupon she reveals that this boy is actually Takumi himself. Shortly thereafter, she accuses him of falling in love with Jun. Meanwhile, Takumi replies that although she is worried about Jun, she is not in love with her. He always regretted never having tried to convey his feelings for her to Natsuki, even though he knew about her feelings. Meanwhile, Jun overhears the conversation. Devastated, she runs away and meets the egg fairy again, who gives her to understand that the curse had worsened when she tried to convey her feelings for him to Takumi. Jun does not appear on the day of the musical, so Natsuki takes on her role. As a result, Takumi sets out to find her.

He finds her at a now closed Love Hotel. To his surprise, she is able to speak normally. Annoyed, she verbally attacks him when he tries to make her understand that she was never able to convey her words out of fear. To hear her voice one more time, he allows her to shout out her anger and frustration until she is satisfied. Jun reveals her feelings for him, even though she knows that he is still in love with Natsuki. He then thanks her because he was unable to reveal his true feelings for the others before they met. This convinces Jun to take part in the musical. Jun and Takumi arrive in time just before the final scene and allows Jun to sing and convey her feelings towards her mother, who now realizes what her daughter had to go through. When the musical ends, Jun also realizes that the egg fairy was her own imagination to blame for her situation. She makes the decision to open her heart and conciliatory end to her past.

At the end of the film, Takumi is seen reconciling with Natsuki, while Daiki reveals his feelings for Jun.
