Fonzie

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Arthur "The Fonz" Fonzarelli was a character in the American comedy series Happy Days (1974-1984) and was played by Henry Winkler .

About the figure

"Fonzie" was a motorcycle rider and mechanic wearing a leather jacket. Although he graduated from high school early, he appears to have almost supernatural skills, knowledge, sexual attractiveness, and diversity. In the America of the 1950s and in Milwaukee in particular, where the plot of the series was set, these attributes made him a very popular person. During the series, Fonz graduated from high school through evening classes and became an auto mechanic instructor. Although he never married, he adopted a son last season, marking the end of the rebel-to-family transition.

In the first season of Happy Days , Fonz was a rather sporadic fringe character. But he soon became a regular performer thanks to his continued popularity. His fame and admiration among the American population quickly rose, and Fonzie eventually became a pop culture icon of the late 1970s. He was hugely popular with viewers because of his stylish personality and his ability to achieve things seemingly effortlessly. For example, Fonzie could only get a jukebox running with a tap on it, or it got things with a snap of his fingers. His way of speaking too, especially his distinctive exclamationAyyy! “Contributed to its popularity. These characteristics made Fonz almost synonymous with the American term " cool ". His leather jacket is now in the Smithsonian Institution .

By the way, according to ABC , Fonz was originally supposed to wear sweaters, except when he was near his motorcycle . That's why the producers of Happy Days simply used Fonzie near his motorcycle. So he could wear his leather jacket at any time.
