Summary

Japanese and Germans won World War II and divided the world among themselves. There are newsreel-style films circulating that show an alternative reality in which Germany and Japan were defeated and that are said to have come from the "Man in the High Castle". Both the resistance movement and the Nazis and the Japanese are on the hunt for these films.

Juliana Crain unintentionally becomes a member of the resistance and receives support from Nazi agent Joe Blake. Juliana's friend Frank also joins the resistance and plans an assassination attempt on the Japanese crown prince, which is instead carried out by a Nazi sniper. Meanwhile, SS-Obergruppenführer John Smith uncovered a conspiracy surrounding SS-Oberstgruppenführer Heydrich: A group of high-ranking Nazis are planning the murder of Adolf Hitler, which Smith prevents.

In the Japanese-occupied part of North America, Chief Inspector Kido investigates the resistance movement, while Minister of Commerce Tagomi tries to achieve a military balance between the two great powers in order to prevent a third world war.
